The Snow Queen by Terrauh The Snow Queen by Terrauh
I had forgotten most of the details of the story, but I remembered that the Snow Queen lived in a palace of ice, and had a shard of glass in her heart from a broken magical mirror that made her dismeanor so heartless and cold. I went back and read the story, by Hans Christian Anderson, it is a classicly written fairytale, well worth it's place among other favorites.
This is another work with nailpolosh for glitter and sparkle to add to the effect of ice, but it does not show up so well.

Method: colored pencil, watercolor, sparkly nailpolish
Finished: December 2006

beautiful. Love idea, even if that didn't happen in original story.

I like the idea of using glittery nail polish rather than sparkly paint. :3

Thanks very much! :) Sometimes the nail polosh has a better effect than the paint does

it's about the same but I notice sometimes depending on the color, the lighter iridescent nail polish colors seem to take on a yellow-hue after a while

Thank you! I may re-scan the original sometime. I only took a picture, and I think it would come out better with the full scan.

Thanks! I only took a picture of this one, but if I have time, I might re-scan it, so the quality is better, now that my scanner works again.
